Job Description:

The Cloud Expert is a highly skilled professional responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions for organizations. They possess in-depth knowledge of various cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities:

1. Design and deploy cloud infrastructure: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop scalable and reliable cloud-based solutions. Architect, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure components, including virtual machines, storage, networks, and security.
2. Cloud migration and optimization: Assess existing on-premises or hybrid environments and develop migration strategies to seamlessly transition applications to the cloud. Optimize cloud resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective utilization.
3. Cloud security and compliance: Implement robust security measures, including identity and access management, encryption, and monitoring, to safeguard data and applications. Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards.
4. Automation and orchestration: Develop automation scripts and use orchestration tools to streamline cloud deployments and management processes. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
5. Performance monitoring and troubleshooting: Monitor cloud resources and proactively identify and resolve performance issues. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networking, storage, and application deployment, collaborating with relevant teams as necessary.
6. Disaster recovery and backup: Implement disaster recovery strategies to protect against data loss and ensure business continuity. Set up backup and recovery mechanisms to safeguard critical data.
7. Continuous improvement and knowledge sharing: Stay updated with the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in cloud technologies. Share knowledge and mentor team members, enabling skill development within the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
• Strong experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in cloud-native services, such as EC2, S3, VPC, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Google Compute Engine, and Cloud Storage.
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including VPN, DNS, load balancing, and security groups.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Certification in cloud platforms, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect, is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
